A plugin brings its own screens for a task that not every company has: payroll, stock, projects or the till. The catalog lists nine plugins. Seven of them are included in the plan, CRM Pro and Cash Book have a monthly price of their own. The company's administration may switch them on, for that one company.
Names and prices come from the catalog in the Cockpit, as of 30 September 2026. Each plugin says whether it writes to the books itself, because that decides what you find in the journal, the VAT return and the annual accounts.

A plugin brings its own screens and data. An integration, by contrast, only connects ZepDesk to an outside service, such as a payment service or an online shop; it is found under Integrations and needs no plugin.
How to switch a plugin on and off again
The company's administration opens Administration, Company, Add-ons, sees the catalog there with price and description, and installs the plugin. The installation then runs in the background; once it is done, the plugin appears with its own menu items. Other roles do not see the catalog.
Per company
Each company has its own instance. A plugin the holding uses is only available in the subsidiary once its administration switches it on there, holding and subsidiaries.
Switching off deletes nothing
Under Installed plugins you remove a plugin again. The data it created stays stored in the company.

What ZepDesk does not take on
Cash book outside the books.The journal, the cash-basis accounts (Anlage EÜR) and the annual accounts do not read the cash book. A balance-sheet company's cash takings are missing there unless they are booked separately, one cash day worked through.
No postings from inventory.Neither the receipts of its till nor the value from the stocktake reach the journal.
No invoice from project hours.Drawing hours for an invoice is only possible through the interface, and receipts and invoices carry no project.
No submission to health insurers.You file the DEÜV notifications and contribution statements of the payroll plugin yourself.
No sync with other calendars.The appointment calendar does not read Outlook or Google and does not send reminders.
