ZepDesk is built at ZeptronIT UG in Harmsdorf, Schleswig-Holstein. We run our own accounting in it, which is why we are the first to notice when something is cumbersome.

Why ZepDesk exists

Accounting software likes to sell its features in modules and per user. We wanted it simpler: one price per legal form, users at no extra charge, and most plugins part of the plan. Which plugins have a price of their own is listed under Plugins.

Then there is the place of operation. Anyone managing accounting data should be able to say where it sits. ZepDesk runs and stores data at Hetzner in Falkenstein, Germany; receipt recognition and dictation are processed by Scaleway in Paris. The data processing agreement can be signed in your account instead of being a matter for negotiation.

Prices stay

Anyone who starts now in early access locks in their terms and all future updates at no extra charge.

Price per legal form

Users cost nothing extra. Most plugins are included in the plan; CRM Pro and Cash Book have a monthly price of their own.

Plain talk about gaps

If a feature is missing, we say so. If something on this website is not accurate, write to us and we will correct it.

How you can check our commitments

A commitment is only worth something if it can be checked. These places show whether we keep what the website says.

Availability, measured

The status page shows the measured values of the last 90 days for each area and says where measuring has not started yet, system status.

Data locations, with names

Whoever processes your bookkeeping is listed with location and purpose on one page, Data locations and backups; all further recipients for individual purposes, such as address suggestions while you type, are named in the privacy policy.

Limits, on every page

The feature pages state their limits right alongside, for example integrations and plugins.

Legal texts, with a version

The terms, the data processing agreement and the privacy policy carry a version number and a date from which they apply; we present a new version to you at your next sign-in.
